P-Frame Aluminum Screens

Professional Frame provides solutions for aluminum screens for any type of windows and balcony doors. We undertake the study, installation, and construction of horizontal sliding aluminum screens (Plisse with cord or track), fixed screens, hinged screens, vertical sliding screens, and electric screens, all guaranteed by P-Frame.

Aluminum screens are a technical barrier used to keep insects out of our space while allowing air and light to pass through. They also offer the possibility of natural ventilation during the summer months, which significantly saves energy.

Additionally, the interior of the buildings maintains the necessary thermal comfort, which is crucial for reducing the operating hours of air conditioning systems.

Aluminum Screens – Main Types

Hinged Screens

Hinged screens are mainly used for entrance and kitchen doors. The construction consists of a fixed aluminum frame and a hinged part (door) that opens in one direction and includes the aluminum screen. Hinged aluminum screens have several advantages, such as:

  • Ideal solution for doors with frequent use.
  • Special self-closing mechanism.
  • Easy maintenance and replacement of the screen if it tears.
  • High durability and long lifespan.
  • Can accommodate a special pet door.
  • Provide extra options, as they can open automatically using a photocell.

The disadvantage of the hinged screen is that it is a fixed and permanent construction. Additionally, they require free space in front of the door to open.

Vertical Sliding Screens

Vertical sliding aluminum screens ensure smooth, comfortable, and controlled movement. The windproof brush they feature helps keep them in place in strong winds. Vertical sliding screens are primarily installed on aluminum windows. They are not a practical choice for balcony doors since one would need to bend down to open them. Some of their key advantages over other types include:

  • Long lifespan if installed correctly.
  • Economical compared to other options available.

Ideally, vertical sliding screens should be constructed with a width of less than one and a half meters. This helps prevent damage from wind or unintended pressure that could dislodge them from their guides or cause tearing. All our screens can include a cord for ease of use and a special brake to prevent accidents. Prices vary depending on the mechanism used, quality, dimensions, etc.

Horizontal Movement

The most practical and ideal solution for balcony doors or entrances is horizontal sliding aluminum screens. They are very easy to use daily and can remain closed when not in use without causing inconvenience.

There are many types to choose from, with prices varying depending on the type of fabric (plisse or straight fabric) as well as the mechanism – guide used for movement at the bottom (track, cord-operated, guide, etc.).

The quality and type of screen, the mechanisms used, and the installation are some of the factors that will determine their lifespan.

Fixed Aluminum Screens

Fixed aluminum screens are primarily used in small lightwell windows and bathrooms. They offer a more economical solution for cases where the aluminum screen does not need to be opened or closed. The main disadvantages of fixed aluminum screens include:

  • Limitation of access to the exterior side of the window.
  • As they are permanent structures, they make cleaning more difficult.

Prices for fixed screens depend on the material, dimensions, color, etc.

Sliding Screens for Recessed Window Frames

Sliding screens for recessed window frames have a long lifespan, as they are among the most durable constructions among screen types. Additionally, they are very convenient for daily use, and replacing the screen in case of tearing is straightforward.

These screens require the necessary space between the bricks, which should be planned during the construction of the house. If the screens can be installed, they are certainly more ideal than horizontal sliding screens.

Parallel Aluminum Screens

Parallel aluminum screens are ideal for French doors or wide window frames.

They have a long lifespan, are very easy to use daily, and can be easily replaced in case of any damage.

In general, they offer most of the advantages of sliding aluminum screens, with the disadvantage that they always cover half of the window frame and limit visibility.

Electric Screens

Electric screens belong to vertical motion screens and are ideal for very large balcony doors and windows. They can open and close under severe weather conditions, such as strong winds up to 12 Beaufort, in a very short time.

These screens can be equipped with remote control and can be manufactured in any color. Perhaps the only drawback is the high purchase cost, starting from approximately €1000.
